About Us

We are an LGBTIQ+ social group based in South East Queensland, founded on September 3rd 2020 to enjoy the camping experience whilst having fun events throughout the year.

We will always aim to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our members so we can socialise and meet other members of the LGBTQIA+ community and make new friends.

You don’t have to be big, hairy or bearded to be welcomed by us, if you love the outdoors as we do then you will always have a home.

We Are One Family

At QLD, Camping Bears have a zero-tolerance policy for anybody who brings an attitude towards individuals that belongs firmly in the past.

QLD Camping Bears will not tolerate defamation of any person by age, gender, orientation, size, race, or any form of personal shaming of another member, guest or venue employee.

Equality, acceptance and kindness should be the norm, not the exception. As a group, we are a minority, and therefore we should never be putting down others, but raising everyone to a higher standard and being respectful at all times.

Under no circumstances can you enter or access another person's property (entering into someone's tent, van, vehicle or cabin) without the owners' permission. Qld Camping Bears committee reserves the right to revoke your membership if you breach these guidelines per our terms and conditions. Any guests or members found to be breaching the terms and conditions may be asked to leave any of our private events, and QLD Camping Bears will not provide a refund.

If you ever feel uncomfortable at any of our events, please feel free to see one of our committee members immediately, and we will address your concerns as best we can.

HDGimage Photography - We collaborate with Dylan annually for our QLD Camping Bears Calendar amongst other promotional work we do. We cannot speak higher of his work, integrity and contribution to art in Australia and abroad. He is and will always be family to many of us.

Balls Out Bingo Brisbane - Run by Jan and Anthony while being supported by their amazing team of Drag Queens. Balls Out Bingo guarantees a naughty but entertaining event while at the same time raising funds for worthy causes.
